Finding Deals

Many of you with small children know how hard it is to actually take them shopping!  That, combined with the fact that I live in a small town, leaves me shopping online frequently.  I love that I can look at multiple stores at once, looking for the cutest options and the best deals before I make a purchase- all from the comfort of my home!  I have also gotten quite good at finding deals.  Although I often shop at "name brand" stores, I never pay full price for and item, and rarely pay for shipping.  How do I do it?  Here are a few tips:
1)  Check out www.retailmenot.com for coupon codes- they often save me a ton of money!
2)  Sign up for a upromise account at www.upromise.com.  You can click on the store you are shopping at through their site, and then get an extra percentage back towards your child's education.  It is very little extra work for great returns, and it adds up fast!
3)  Consider getting a few department store credit cards from where you shop the most.  They often send coupons and free shipping offers for their card holders.  Just remember to pay them off right away!
4)  Shop sites that have low or no minimum orders for free shipping.  I love Amazon.com, Zappos.com, and Altrec.com!
5)  Shop off season and check out the clearance sections!
